Julia Zemiro is an Australian television presenter, radio host and comedian.

Julia Zemiro was born in 1967 in Aix-en Provence, France. Her father was a French waiter and her Australian mother was from Queensland. In 1970, she moved to Australia at the age of two and a half. Julia attended Sydney Girls High School before studying for a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney. She was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts Drama School before completing her final year and she moved to Melbourne in 1992.

In 1993 Julia graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts and soon found work touring with the Bell Shakespeare Company. She has been featured in short films including The Extra and Muffled Love, winning the Tropfest Best Actress award twice in 1997 and 2000 respectively. She also co-wrote, performed and directed Backpackers.

In 2003, 2004 and 2006, Zemiro appeared as 'Bronya' in Eurovision, the Musical, "Euromax 7 The Musical and Eürobeat: Almost Eurovision<i>, respectively.

A long-time Theatresports veteran, Julia played at the Belvoir Theatre, Sydney for many years before her move to Melbourne. She is currently a performer with Impro Melbourne, starring in their annual season of Celebrity Theatresports and regularly appears in their Melbourne International Comedy Festival hit, "Late Nite Impro". She is also a core cast member of the improvised stage show Spontaneous Broadway.

Julia's first appearance as a television presenter was as the host of World Telly 2, which was an international co-production devised by broadcaster and journalist Scott Watkins-Sully. She had previously appeared in the original World Telly as part of an improvised comedy group. The World Telly programmes were broadcast by ABC Australia Television, the ABC's original but now defunct venture into international satellite broadcasting.

During Zemiro's time touring with the Bell Shakespeare Company she also became a regular panelist and debater for </i>Good News Week and as a writer and performer on Totally Full Frontal for two seasons in which she played over 30 characters. She is a regular guest on Thank God You're Here and in 2007 won Australia's Brainiest TV Star and hosted Song for the Socceroos during the FIFA World Cup.

In 2006 she appeared on on the comedy show The Wedge, a comedy, as various characters. In May 2007 she was a contestant on Channel Seven's It Takes Two and was eliminated on June 5. She was the fourth contestant to be eliminated. Zemiro has also appeared in several television commercials, most recently as a satiric French fashion expert called Fifi La Croix for Target's breast cancer campaign.

She was also a judge on LifeStyle Food's Great BBQ Challenge in 2006 and 2007. Julia can also be spotted in an episode of CNNNN - as the host of 'Animal Farm.' Since 2005 she has hosted RocKwiz<i> on SBS, a pub-style music trivia program, and now also co-hosts The Jonathan Coleman Experience on radio across Australia with Jonathan Coleman. In 2007 she also accepted an offer to take on the role as host of the second series of Channel Nine show "What a Year" alongside Bert Newton.
