The Reddit Alien was first doodled into existence April 17, 2005.  He is from the future and doesn't believe in primitive rules of capitalization.

The alien lives in the upper left-hand corner of reddit.com. His makers put him in humiliating poses and on merchandise for their own amusement.

The alien often is seen having adventures.  An archive of his custom appearances can be seen here:   http://sp.reddit.com/archive2008.html .  Interestingly, his standard look (seen above) isn't known to have changed since reddit's launch in 2006.  This is likely due to the geometric perfection (or geometric "pretty good-ness", at least) of his spaceman physiology.  However, this apparent sign of superior physical design brings into question the alien' biological sophistication.  Usually, the process of evolution produces more complex species with the passage of time.  Is the alien, contrary to our assumptions, actually a simple and primitive organism, like the trilobyte?
