When I uploaded an avatar on my settings page, it gets cut off on the bottom. It would be great if I could adjust how the image would be displayed after uploading it.
Editing posts: that's a good idea. We would like to do that. For the time being, however, it's on the back burner. We hope you aren't too inconvenienced in the meantime.

That's a good point. We took the decision to show avatars, and
biography pictures, in that way so that we could avoid making you
select what part of a large image to keep. We'd like to make that
better for you, but for the time being, what you can do is use an image
editor to change the size of the image yourself. However... just for you, I went ahead and fixed it by hand. Hope you like the result.
I'm just using that one (the shield) as a test, so I'll change it after a couple days so you have time to see it.
